Have you ever imagined taking part directly in the conservation of the largest feline species in the Americas while experiencing the daily life of a scientific project in the heart of the Pantanal? Instituto IMPACTO opens its doors to those who wish to go beyond words and take concrete action for the protection of nature. Our volunteer program offers a unique, transformative experience with real impact on the conservation of the jaguar and the lives of local communities.
As a volunteer, you will not be just an observer. You will take part in practical actions aimed at fostering harmonious coexistence between humans and jaguars, working side by side with researchers and local residents. Your activities may include:
- Installing and monitoring camera traps to track the presence of jaguars and other wildlife;
- Active searches for sightings and collection of traces, such as feces and tracks, which provide essential data for our research;
- Assisting in scientific research by helping collect biological samples that aid in understanding the health and behavior of jaguars;
- Environmental education activities in schools, communities, and with tourists, promoting respect for biodiversity and knowledge about the importance of top predators;
- Responsible ecotourism activities, collaborating in the development of a sustainable and safe tourism model that values wildlife and generates income for communities;
And, of course, experiencing the daily life of a conservation project, learning in practice how science, culture, and environmental protection come together in the field.
